Beauty Buzz: Peter Thomas Roth Peptide 21 Collection Review

If I had a dollar for every time someone thought I was 27 years old (or younger) I’d be rich! I guess 27 is the new 35 and I’d like to keep it that way. I recently started becoming more intentional with my skincare routine and I am slowly seeing improvements. Now that I’m entering my late 30's, I feel like caring for my skin is on another level so I’m going to pile on the peptides with the new Peter Thomas Roth Peptide 21 Collection! By now I'm sure you're asking, "What the heck is a peptide?" Yep, I asked the same thing. Basically, peptides are bits of protein for your skin. As we age, the protein in our skin breaks down and causes it to lose elasticity and firmness. Hey, we're human and we can't slow down the aging process right...or can we? The active collagen-supporting peptide treatments provided in these products can reduce the look of fine lines and improve elasticity. Click the diagrams below for more in-depth information!

I probably should’ve started with better skincare habits in my early 20's but here we are! I have always been told that I "look young" but after more sun exposure, less sleep, and forever acne, I feel as if the signs of aging are starting to show. I have dark circles under my eyes, hyperpigmentation, and frown lines that I would like to cater to. Like I said; human. I won't lie to you, it took a while for me to love the skin I'm in, but that doesn't mean I'm not going to make improvements. To see a bit of my skincare history click here, here, and here.

So far the Peptide 21 Collection is gentle, hydrating, and great at exfoliating. I can't say that I've had drastic results in a month but I have noticed softer, smoother skin. I am always concerned about the sensitivity of my skin when trying new products so I tend to start off slow. For example, the exfoliating peel pads are my favorite from this collection. They are very gentle but also contain amino, phytic and salicylic acids. Now that I know each product is gentle enough for daily use I can really start the peptide piling process! What do I hope to accomplish with using the Peptide 21 collection? Smoother skin overall, minimize the frown lines on my forehead, and reduce the look of large pores. You can read the quick list on each item below for additional information!
